Akashi Answer
akashi/answer · $0.01 per call (premium) · AI Answers, Web Search
Ask a question, get a short answer written from live web sources, with numbered citations.
Searches Google, reads the top pages, and has gpt-oss-120b write a concise answer (≤ 180 words) using only those sources, each claim cited as [n] with the cited sources listed in citations. It says when sources disagree or do not cover the question rather than guessing, and ignores instructions planted in web pages. Takes 3–7 s. Set recency for news. It does not browse further, log in, or answer from one page you name: for that use firecrawl/ask-page; for raw links use serper/search; to read many pages yourself use jina/search.
Related: serper/search, jina/search, firecrawl/ask-page, groq/summarize.
Input
| Field | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
question | string | yes | The question, in plain words. 3–500 characters. |
recency | string | no | Only use sources from the past day, week, month or year (for news and anything that changes). One of day, week, month, year. |
Example
{
"question": "Who invented the transistor, and when?"
}node akashi.mjs run akashi/answer --input '{"question":"Who invented the transistor, and when?"}'Akashi Business Days
akashi/business-days · $0.001 per call (local) · Time & Calendar
Count working days between two dates, or find the date N working days away, on a country or market calendar.
Give a start date and either an end date (counts the business days after start up to and including end) or add_days (walks that many business days, negative goes back; up to 3650 days either way). Uses the country's public calendar (optionally a subdivision) or a market calendar such as NYSE, with that country's own weekend, and lists every holiday it skipped. Computed offline from python-holidays. For the list of holidays itself use akashi/holidays.
Related: akashi/holidays, akashi/time.

A country (or market calendar), a start date, and exactly one of end or add_days.
Give exactly one of: end, or add_days.

akashi/fact · $0.001 per call (local) · Knowledge & Reference
The current value of a fact from Wikidata (who leads X, capital, population…), with start date and provenance.
Looks up one property of one entity on Wikidata, by id (Q30, P35) or by name and alias ('Japan', 'head of government', 'head', 'CEO', 'capital', 'population'), and returns only the values that are current: preferred-rank statements without an end date, latest point in time first, each with its start date and unit. Counts the ended statements it left out, follows an office to its holder when the subject names an office, and links the Wikipedia article. One fact per call; for a prose summary use wikipedia/summary, for an open question use akashi/answer.
Related: wikipedia/summary, akashi/answer.
Input
An entity (Wikidata QID or a name) and a property (PID or an alias such as 'capital').

Exchange rates checked across up to four central banks: headline rate, each bank's fixing and date, spread and agreement.
For one base currency and up to 10 quotes, reads the fixings of up to 4 independent publishers per pair (the quote currency's own central bank first, then the ECB, the Fed and others, via Frankfurter, with the ECB's own file as fallback), and returns the headline rate (the issuer's fixing when current, else the median), every bank's rate with its date, type and age on its own publishing schedule, the spread between them and an agree / minor_diff / conflict verdict. Pass amount to convert, date for a past day. Reference rates, not tradable quotes. For a quick single-source rate use frankfurter/rates or frankfurter/convert.

akashi/holidays · $0.001 per call (local) · Time & Calendar
A country's (or region's) public holidays for a year, or a market calendar like NYSE, cross-checked across sources.
Holidays for a country, optionally one subdivision (e.g. US-CA, DE-BY), for any year from 1900 to 2100, or a market calendar (NYSE, ECB, LSE, …). The offline python-holidays calendar is merged by date with Nager.Date and OpenHolidays; every day lists which sources carry it, whether it is an observed (moved) day or only local, and whether the sources agree. Market calendars come from python-holidays alone. To count or add working days use akashi/business-days.

akashi/jobs · $0.001 per call (local) · Jobs
Open roles from the public job boards (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby) of dozens of tech companies, filtered by words, company, location, remote and salary.
Searches Akashi's index of company job boards on Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby, refreshed every few hours (never fetched live): match words in the title or team, up to 20 companies, a location, remote only, a minimum stated salary and currency, and postings from the last 90 days at most. Each job links to its own posting. Covers the indexed companies only, not the whole job market; salary filters only match postings that state a salary. When the index is empty the answer is an empty list with a note.

Headlines from the last 72 hours matching a query: GDELT's global feed and Hacker News, merged and de-duplicated.
Searches Akashi's index of GDELT's 15-minute global news updates (English-language, last 72 h, ranked by match and recency) together with live Hacker News, removes duplicate stories (same URL or near-identical headline, marked also_in), and returns up to 25 with title, link, domain and when each source first saw it. Filter by a country mentioned (ISO code). Headlines and links only, never article text: read one with firecrawl/scrape or jina/read. If the index is not available the answer says so and carries the Hacker News results. For Google News results use serper/news.

What time it is (or will be) in a city, country or IANA zone, with DST, the next clock change and conversions.
Resolves an IANA zone, a city or a country (with an optional ISO country hint) and gives the local time now or at the instant you pass, its UTC offset and abbreviation, whether daylight saving is in force, the next offset change, and the same instant in up to 10 other zones. Computed locally from the pinned IANA tz database; the answer names that version and the newest published one so you know the rules are current. 'at' must carry an offset or Z. For holidays use akashi/holidays; for working-day arithmetic use akashi/business-days.

Returns the current-hour forecast from MET Norway (temperature °C, wind m/s and direction, humidity, next-hour precipitation, conditions); inside the US the NWS reading and any active alerts are added and the two temperatures compared (agree / minor_diff / conflict). It is a nowcast, not a station observation, and has no multi-day forecast: for that use openweather/forecast.
